As a product designer, my responsibilities encompassed comprehending the existing system, conducting research to identify the problem, and crafting product solutions with a mindful consideration of their impacts on the system as a whole.
What is happening
around us?
Global temperatures are expected to increase due to rising CO2 and CO3 levels causing extreme weather conditions like drought, heat waves, and unpredictable rainfall patterns causing harm to many plants.
Global warming is contributing to the increase in plant diseases by creating warmer and more favorable conditions for pathogens, weakening plant defenses, and altering ecosystems.
As temperatures rise and weather patterns shift, addressing this challenge requires a combination of adaptive agricultural practices, the development of disease-resistant crops, and global efforts to mitigate climate change.
This problem is going to increase day by day, hour by hour, and minute by minute
The Problem
The escalating issue of global warming, fueled by rising CO2 and CO3 levels, is leading to extreme weather conditions such as droughts, heat waves, and erratic rainfall patterns, which are increasingly detrimental to plant ecosystems, and the urgency to address this crisis grows with every passing moment.

The visual design of the Leaf lab is a harmonious blend of innovation and nature. Resembling a quaint house, its shape evokes a sense of warmth and familiarity, inviting users to interact with it as an integral part of their garden.
The machine's exterior is predominantly adorned in earthy tones of green and brown, symbolizing its deep connection to the natural world and conveying a sense of environmental responsibility. At the heart of this unique structure, a cutting-edge machine is carefully integrated to curate personalized plant care solutions, meticulously adjusting pH levels, chemical concentrations, and nutrient ratios.
A sleek, user-friendly touchscreen adorns the front, offering an intuitive interface for users to scan plant photos or infected leaves, while a discreet slot discreetly dispenses bottles with customized packaging and labels, delivering the precise care their plants require. Additionally, it defines how data is exchanged with the mobile app, creating a seamless flow of information for users. A visual representation that illustrates the user's experience from the moment they encounter a plant-related issue to the resolution provided by the vending machine. Concept Ideation
Low Fidelity Wireframes :
Sketching low-fidelity wireframes enabled me to quickly iterate and refine my design concept, fostering a deeper understanding of the user experience and the functionality of the app touchpoint.
Medium Fidelity Prototype:
Creating medium-fidelity wireframes allowed me to map out the user's journey within the app, facilitating a strategic arrangement of elements and the addition of color to enhance button clarity for an intuitive and user-friendly interface
Final Prototype:
My high-fidelity prototype would now greatly benefit the user after seamlessly incorporating optimized layout, enhanced user flow, a cohesive color palette, and readable fonts, ensuring a visually appealing and user-centric experience from the last iteration.
The goal of altering the system
Empower users by seamlessly integrating precision plant care solutions into their lives, fostering plant health, well-being, and joy while alleviating anxiety and stress through a holistic, user-centric approach.
At the forefront of the design process was designing an intuitive and aesthetically pleasing interface that seamlessly integrates into users' lives while addressing their diverse needs and emotional states.
The project also included a large range of considerations of sustainability, data privacy, and accessibility that would be paramount in creating a holistic and responsible solution.
It offered an exciting opportunity to create a design that not only enhances the user experience but also contributes positively to the user’s relationship with plants and the environment while promoting well-being.

Next Steps
Iteration: Generating a vast range of design iterations on concept interfaces.
Research and User Testing: Conduct in-depth research to understand the specific needs, preferences, and pain points of both plant enthusiasts and therapy patients. Engage in user testing to gather feedback on the concept's feasibility and user-friendliness.
Looking broadly at the business model, data and technology integration, environmental considerations, and regulatory compliance.
